The Fujifilm FinePix F601 Zoom packs a lot of film-camera-like performance, plus extras for advanced photographers, families, and business users alike. Though its design and interface are not without warts, the camera uses Fuji's third-generation 3.3-megapixel Super CCD sensor and a 3X zoom lens to take good pictures. And it does so with very little lag across the board, from startup to file writes. With light sensitivity settings up to ISO 1600 and both programmed- and manual-exposure modes, the F601 Zoom provides lots of headroom to get the perfect picture. In addition, it lets you record voice memos and capture video clips; if you spring for an optional cradle, it can also serve as a Webcam.
